165mm Distressed Weathered iron utility knife
This ultra lightweight hand forged utility knife is made from Sheffield made 01 tool steel clad with twisted wrought iron salvaged from a historic cart wheel and 15n20 high carbon steel. it is paired with the best prime English burr elm hardwood, with a chamfered brass cap.
the blade is forged very thin and tapered to a ultra fine tip, the blade has a etched finish giving it a weathered and distressed look, the bevels have been meticulously stones polished using high quality natural whetstones to bring out the detail of the wrought iron and contrast between the wrought iron and high carbon steel.
Please note
This knife has a couple of wrought iron delaminations on the side which is pictured, this is purely cosmetic and doesn't effect the function or integrity of the knife, this knife is priced accordingly.
the wrought iron cladding oxidizes quickly so requires extra care to keep the mirror polish, rust and marking can be avoided by cleaning right after use, not cutting high acidic foods like lemons and limes and kept dry when not in use and coated with food grade oil when not in use for extended period of time.
